X3: Albion Prelude is the expansion to X3: Terran Conflict. The expansion was released in 2011, much to the surprise of many X fans, as X Rebirth was in the works. X3: Albion Prelude needs X3: Terran Conflict to run, as the former is an expansion to the latter.
The X-Universe to Date[]
The X-Universe has been plunged into war. It's the Terrans taking on the commonwealth. Many factors triggered the declaration of war, but the main event was the destruction of the Earth Torus station. But it is not all war. In the Albion sectors, the construction of Highways is beginning.
