The Argon are a human race that reside within the X Universe. They are the descendants from Earth which was cut off from the X Universe during the terraformer war.
Description[]
Many of the first colonists were killed when their creations, the terraformers, turned on them due to a software malfunction. Some daring pilots lead by Nathan R. Gunn lead the terraformers away from Earth through the jumpgates which was then destroyed by Earth, trapping the terraformer fleet and Nathan’s group in the X Universe. They managed to escape the terraformers but they then crash landed on the planet now known as Argon Prime.
Now they are a powerful race who have counter attacked the terraformers, now known as the Xenon, with the help of Kyle William Brennen from Earth. They currently face the threat of the Kha’ak, a generally unknown and hostile race with which the Argon nor any other race in the Commonwealth of Planets have any friendly contact.
Over the centuries many of the Argon forgot about their origins. Earth studies was not taught and historical references were lost or restricted. Earth would have turned into a fictional legend if the Goner sect did not preach about it. The Goner started off as individuals, out to protect the history of Earth. They became outcasts for their beliefs in the “Holy planet Earth” but now they are a multi raced society who are the leading experts on the history of the Argon and Earth during the terraformer war.
The Argon Federation is run by democracy with every city and space station having its own senator. The leader of the federation is known as the president. This position was held by Frann Herron during the events of X2: The Threat and X3: Reunion.
The Argon are part of the Foundation Guild, along with their allies, the Boron Kingdom. Although currently at peace with the Paranid Empire, Split Dynasty and Teladi Company some political issues between the Paranid usually cause small skirmishes on borders.
With the reconnection of Earth to the gate network, it is hoped that Kyle Brennen will be able to bridge the gap between the two cultures and open up political talks, military assistance and trade.
Argon worlds are mostly comparable to Earth. They range from the planet Sandwell (a desert world) to Omicron Lyrae (an Earth-like world).
